Dagenham
Crusaders alumni to perform at DCUK
Plans are underway
for the Dagenham Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps to field an Alumni/
Reunion corps for DCUK's 30th anniversary at the 2009 British Drum Corps
Championships.
The organisers therefore call on all ex members who would wish to be part
of this project to get in touch. There will also be opportunities for any
ex marching members of any corps or marching band to be part of this once
great corps. "We are looking to start rehearsals in February,
initially twice monthly for a few hours at weekends", Joe Osborn and
Dexter Roberts explained. "We are currently in negotiations with a
school in Upminster, Essex with regards rehearsal facilities."
There is to be a full Corps reunion on the 7th February 2009 at Sacred
Heart of Mary School, 70 St Mary's Lane, Upminster, Essex, RM14 2QR. 7pm -
11.30pm. Tickets are £5 each and will need to be booked and paid for in
advance (tickets will not be available on the door).
If there are any corps or individuals out there that can help with
instruments please get in touch as this will be a major factor as to
whether this project is a success or not. "We would also like to wish
Gary Wells and the Green Lancers the very best in their plans for 2009 and
beyond, it would give us great pleasure to stand on the same field again
with the Mighty Lancers", Osborn and Roberts said.
Please contact either Joe Osborn on 07946 589865 or Dexter Roberts on
email dagcrusaders09@yahoo.co.uk. |
